Minutes AGM 7pm Thursday 12th March 2015

Present:

Last years AGM

Minutes from 2014 AGM read by BS. All agreed it was a true record. 
No Matters Arising

Treasurer Report – LS

£410 in bank and Stock of balls to last till Jan 2016 allowing for Dorset and Captains cup.

Handicaps – BS

Handicaps working well, no change recommended.

Captains Report KR

Thanked all for supporting the monthly events. All seems to be working well

Election Officers

No volunteers to any of the three positions. KR, LS and BS remained in post unanimously voted in.

Dorset

Nigel. There are 6 rooms booked - reminded all to pay deposits.

Captains Cup

LS - Wildwood booked for 5th September 2015 as all had agreed at last years event – Deposit paid. Same format over 27 holes

Dinner Dance/Prize giving

Discussions took place about last years event. Decided to check out Bognor Regis Golf Club as a venue Fri/Sat 13/14 November The same band has been booked. Also Colin will check with the Mon/Fri gang to see if we could have a match against them on the Friday. Whichever day the dinner is

Society Name and Constitution change – JP

Discussions took place regarding the current constitution of the society which we inherited. It was created in 1996 to satisfy an application for membership to the EGU for official society handicaps. This was now outdated in the main and all agreed on the proposed new constitution be implemented.
All agreed not to change the society name.

New Member(s)

Andy Sweeney proposed new member Chris Coombes. All agreed. We now have 17 members.

AOB

Members advised that society funds will be used to pay for engraving trophies.
