BRYC Golf Society Pairs Matches

With the numbers we have it has
been decided to play league pairs matches using format - Four Ball
Better Ball Match Play.
Names have been drawn and pairs have been split into two groups.
Pairs in each group will play each other. The resultant winners of each
group will play the final. |

1. Handicap allowance - ¾ of
the difference taken from the lowest handicap player.
Eg if player A is 6 , Player B is 18, Player C is 20, Player D is 27
then |

Player A plays off scratch.
Player B plays off 9
eg ( 18 – 6 = 12 then
12 / 4 * 3 = 9)
Player C plays off 11
eg ( 20 – 6 = 14 then
14 / 4 * 3 = 10.5 (rounded = 11)
Player D plays off 16
27 – 6 = 21 then
21 / 4 * 3 = 15.75 (rounded = 16) |

This is re-calculated each time
you play a group.( unless you are always playing in a four ball that has
a 6 handicap.) |

2. Any match started shall be
completed on that day, a draw on the 18th can be the result. |

| 3. All Group rounds to be completed on
or before 31st July
2011. Any match not completed by that date neither team will be awarded
points. |

| 4. It is the responsibility of the
first name in each pair to arrange the match with each other pair in
their group and reporting the result to the handicap secretary. |

5. Scoring – Loose is 1 Draw
is 2 Win is 3. |

6. On conclusion of each game
the result to be notified to Handicap secretary.

| 7. The Match can be played on any
course mutually acceptable to all four players. |
| |
8. In the Group
Matches,
1. If there is a tie on points for a group, then whoever won the match
between the pair will go forward.
2. If no clear then the pair who won by most holes will go forward
3. In the event of a draw then a rematch will be played between that pair. |

| 9. The Final is to be played on or
before 31st August 2011 |
